The Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (Compact) offers an expedited pathway to licensure for qualified physicians who wish to practice in multiple states. Through the Compact, an eligible physician can apply for separate and full licenses in any or all states that are participants in the Compact. The State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts has been actively engaged with other state entities and the Compact Commission to address foreseeable issues in order to integrate existing procedures and to ensure a smooth rollout for Missouri physicians as well as physicians seeking licensure in Missouri. The Board anticipates activating the Compact on October 28, 2024.

For those seeking additional information on eligibility and the application process, the Compact website can be found at: https://www.imlcc.org/

SCAM ALERT!

The Missouri Board of Healing Arts has become aware that someone has been calling licensees claiming to be from the Board of Healing Arts or the Division of Professional Registration and reporting that the licensee or office is under investigation. The caller says that the licensee or office must post a bond and attempts to obtain payment over the telephone or provides information of where to send the purported bond.

Please be aware that this is a scam. There is no such bond associated with any type of Board activity. Additionally, under no circumstances will the Board contact licensees and solicit any kind of payment over the phone.

Please see the attached Liaison Information Report titled "Scammers Pose as Medical Board Members and Law Enforcement", dated January 27, 2021, to learn how to protect yourself and your practices.
